  • New Windows Form in VB 2005

    Ok, first off, great job on Beta 2 of VS 2005...you all at MS did a great job! Second, I want to say a big "hats off" to the VB team for handling the layout of new forms in Beta 2.  In previous betas the default constructor that calls InitializeComponent was always in the hidden code.  That seriously pissed me off.  Many of the VB MVPs bitched about that one.  But now in Beta 2 there is no constructor defined anywhere in a form.  This is apparently because of a change in the way forms are loaded in the designer

  • Checkers Solitaire Style

    Cory Smith has made up a little VB.NET game based on an old game.  It is so simple to play and so addicting and cool.  You can check it out here. Now, call me bold, call me stupid, but right here in this blog entry I am going to declare the game impossible.  The least amount of pieces you can get down to is 8.  CAN'T BE DONE!  (as I like to say when joking around about coding issues at work)  Secretly, I'd like to be proven wrong, so if I'm wrong, please share!  ;) Here's my explanation of why
